Information on Be:
Be was set up as a privately-owned, independent ISP (Internet
Service Provider) in October 2004 and started trading in
August 2005. Be are very pleased that as of June 2006, they
have become part of a much larger group, having been bought by
O2.
Who owns Be?
In June 2006, Be became a part of the
O2 group.
O2
comprises mobile network operators in the UK and Ireland,
along with integrated fixed/mobile businesses in Germany and
the Czech Republic (Cesky Telecom).
O2 is a
Telefónica company with more than 35 million customers across
Europe.
Why are they called Be?
They believe that broadband is not just another utility - they
believe that the right offering can enrich everyone's life -
allowing everyone to Be whatever and whoever they want to Be.
What do I get from Be Broadband?
* Ludicrously fast broadband
* You get an around-the-clock member support service
* Wireless router, the Be Box
* You get access to their online member centre where you can
manage your account.
Be’s mission
To provide you with the best Internet service, with the best
products, at the best possible price.
A bold mission, you may say. But at Be, they strive tirelessly
to achieve it. And where possible we prove this through deeds,
and not words.
The proof? Their first connected broadband customer averaged a
record-breaking speed of 18.5 meg. And it doesn't stop there.
Be are committed to continue delivering on their promise to
all their members: unmetered, unrestricted and unchallenged
broadband - at unparalleled value for money.
Be’s commitment to its members is evidenced by its
indefatigable support. They work round-the-clock to ensure
that every query is answered. Every email is read. And that
everything humanly possible is done to ensure that every
problem is solved. It’s no easy task. The challenges involved
when launching with such advanced technology are often
impossible to foresee. What matters, they believe, is how
these challenges are met. And overcome.
Every day, they’re training new people to help enhance their
service and support. But it’s a process they don’t rush as
their standards are high.
As Be continues to deliver its unique service across the UK
this is, as they say, only the beginning. |
